Dale Dwayne Callihan, Jr.

Dale Dwayne Callihan Jr., 74 of Dumas, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018. Family burial will take place at Springfield, Colorado. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Dale was born in Lamar Colorado on February 17, 1944 and lived in Walsh and Springfield Colorado most of his life. He moved to Dumas in the 80's where he resided until his death. Dale graduated from Springfield High School in 1960, he was an all around athlete and earned a basketball scholarship to Trinidad County Community College. He farmed some in Baca County, but his talent was carpentry. He could fix it or build it. He was preceded in death by his sister Denise Callihan in 1969; parents: Dale and Velma Callihan in 1980; brother in law: Robert Houlette in 2018. Dale is survived by his sister Deana Callihan Houlette of Dumas, TX; brother: Doug Callihan and wife Laura of Abilene, KS; two daughters: Shana of Rapid City, SD and Shelly of Pueblo, CO; two grandchildren.
