Dale Wayne Red, 50 of Sunray, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 oclock in the afternoon on Friday June 21, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Sunray with Pastor Gary Gumfory officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors.
Dale was born on November 26, 1968 in Borger, TX to Leon and Norma (Willis) Red. He attended school in Gruver where he graduated high school. Dale had worked as an operator at Valero for over 25 years. He married Tammy Goodson on June 30, 1989 in Spearman, TX; the couple would live in Sunray where they raised their children and made their home. Dale had many hobbies and interests that included: listening to music, gardening, camping at the lake and loved smoking meat and cooking steaks for his family. Dale was very involved with his children in their livestock show and loved feeding the pigs with them. Dale always had a project going on that usually included restoring old trucks and tractors. Dale will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him. Dale was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sunray.
Dale is survived by his wife, Tammy Red of the home; son: Blaine Red and wife Emma of Tishimingo, OK; daughter: MaKayla Red of Amarillo, TX; parents: Leon and Norma Red of Ft. Cobb, OK; siblings: Kenny Red and wife Brenda of Gruver, TX, James Red and wife Tammy of Ardmore, OK and Connie Red of Ft. Cobb, OK; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and many dear friends.
