Dane Beck

Dane Beck, 66 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 o\x92clock in the morning on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of the church officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Dane was born December 25, 1948 in Dumas, TX to Jack and Maxine (Jones) Beck. On November 25, 1967, he was united in marriage to Beth Moore in Dumas. Dane worked as an operator for Continental Carbon Black for many years, as well as a Volunteer Firefighter for 23 years. Family was very important to Dane; he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His favorite hobbies were woodworking, welding, and shooting. Dane was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father. Dane is survived by his wife, Beth, of the home; son: Dale Beck and wife Tammy of Dumas; daughter: Deena Beck and William of Amarillo; his mother: Maxine Beck of Childress; three sisters: Cheryl Grimes and husband Robert and Denise Swain and husband Allan all of Childress, Pam Ferris of Roswell, NM; brother-in-law: Michael Moore and wife Georgia of Dayton, TX; grandchildren: Chance and Mitch Beck, Vincent Couch all of Dumas, Sydney Couch of Littleton, CO and two great-granddaughters. The family suggest memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029. The family will be at 205 Bruce, Dumas.
