Darvella Scroggins

Darvella Scroggins 78 joined her Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in Dumas, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor officiating. Burial will be at Dumas Cemetery. Darvella Scroggins was born July 10, 1928 in Eastland County, Texas to Grover and Norma Pilgrim. On July 22, 1944 she married the love of her life Clyde Scroggins who preceded her in death on November 20, 1999. She had been a resident of Fritch, Texas until moving to Dumas in 2006. She was a homemaker and a member of Lake Meredith Baptist Church, Fritch, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, two sisters, and two great-great grandchildren. Survivors include: two sons, Roger Scroggins and wife, Pam of Dumas, Marlon Scroggins and wife, Edwina of Bull Shoals, AR; two daughters, Velita Bailie and husband Rick of San Angelo, TX and Darlene Bailey of Amarillo; sister Clarlene Williams of Anchorage, AK; eleven Grandchildren, twenty-nine Great-Grandchildren and two Great-Great-Grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 633, Dumas, TX 79029. The family will be at 131 N. El Paso in Dumas.
