Dean Pack Packebush, 74, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 in Amarillo. Services will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, February 17, at Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Steve Swanson, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Dean Pack Packebush was born January 30, 1936 in Hooker, Oklahoma to Herman Robert and Bonnie Louise Packebush. He served in the United States Navy. On July 12, 1959 he married Lou Ferguson at Clayton, New Mexico. His father started Packs Garage in 1947. He worked with his father until he retired in 1972 and he became the owneroperator of Packs Garage. He loved to hunt, fish and antique cars. He was a very generous and giving person. Pack had been a resident of Dumas since 1946 and was a member of Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife, Lou of the home daughters, Tamber Kay Stovall and husband, Billy Stovall, Sarah Jane Eddy and husband, Dwayne all of Dumas, Lisa Dianna Mayo of Amarillo sons, Tommy Dean Packebush and wife Diane, Robert Samuel Packbush and wife Dawn all of Dumas sister, Sara Lee McFarren of Dumas 20 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren.
The family will be at 808 Bennett in Dumas.
