Dee Banks

Dee Banks, 90 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Ron Cox, officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Dee was born on June 4, 1926 to Albert and Geneva Cox. She was united in marriage to Bob Banks; he preceded her in death in 1995. Dee and Bob enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing at Eagle Nest. She has worked as a secretary at Phillips in Cactus for many years and later as an insurance agent at Powell Insurance. She was a member of 9th and Bliss Church of Christ. Dee will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and son: Gail Banks. Dee is survived by her son: Bobby Banks and wife Rita of Dumas; brother: Everett Cox and wife Bea of Denton; grandchildren: Tiffany Mayne and husband Kai of New Braunfels, Kimberley Banks of Dumas, Genny Barrett and Dusty Banks both of Dallas; great-grandchildren: Easton and Skyler Mayne. The family suggests with gratitude memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY, 10001.
