Derrel Lee McLoud

Derrel Lee McLoud, 85 of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Dr. David Bonner, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock in the evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Derrel was born on March 4, 1937 in Huntsville, AR to Leepha and Minnie (Littrell) McLoud. He worked for Diamond Shamrock for almost 30 years until his retirement in the maintenance department. Derrel loved spending time with his family, playing games with his family, and cookouts. He also loved Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Derrel was a member of 6^th and Meredith Church of Christ and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, and sons: Monty McLoud and Richard Lopez.

Derrel is survived by his wife, Elvira, of the home; children: Michael McLoud and wife, Cindy, of Colorado, Kim Edwards and husband, Keith, of Louisiana, Lori Fletcher and husband, Tom, of Abilene, TX, Renea McLoud of Florida, Linda Munoz and husband Marco, Sr. of Dumas, TX, Juan Lopez, Jr. and wife, Martha, of Levelland, TX, Lydia Lopez of Amarillo, TX, Elias Lopez and wife, Josefina, of Bovina, TX; 31 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
