Diana Chacon Castaneda

Diana Chacon Castaneda, 53 of Lindale, TX passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Father Victor Hugo Andrade, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Diana was born on January 7, 1972, in Dumas, TX to Guadalupe and Soila (Rodriguez) Chacon. She grew up in Dumas where she attended school and worked in the healthcare industry. Diana was united in marriage to Oscar Castaneda on November 17, 2018, in Dumas, TX; the couple made Lindale, TX their home where she was a supervisor in the food processing business.

She always stood behind her children no matter what, right or wrong. Diana would go to war behind them. She loved her grandchildren more than anything. Diana was “Grandma Banana”, they were her greatest joy. She was a boss everywhere she went, whether it was at work or at home. Diana impacted her children’s and so many other people’s childhood and adulthood. Diana was simply her children’s beautiful butterfly. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Soila; brother: Guadalupe Chacon, Jr.; grandson JJ.

Diana is survived by her husband, Oscar of the home; children: Ashley Villa and husband Jonathan of Amarillo, TX, Jasmine Cardenas and husband Luis of Sunray, TX, Efrain Gonzales of Dumas, TX, Regina Gonzales of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Isaiah, Xzavier, Zavian, Eliana, EJ, Ezra, Nathan, Aspen, Mason, Aurora, Soila, Penelope, Jonaven, Millianna, Reagan; father: Guadalupe Chacon of Dumas, TX; sister: Rosemary Castillo of Corpus Christi, TX; brothers: Paul Chacon, Frank Chacon, Felix Chacon all of Dumas, TX along with numerous other extended family members.
