Dolores Lynn Shipp

Dolores Lynn Shipp, 77 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Matt Brown, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock in the evening on Thursday at the funeral home.

Dolores was born on September 13, 1946, in Borger, TX to Wilford and Lillian (Lunsford) Andrews.   Dolores worked as a bookkeeper and later as a teacher’s assistant.  She enjoyed walking, watching movies and listening to music.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Dumas, TX.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Andrews.  

She is survived by her daughter: Kristi Gonzales and husband Charlie of Dumas, TX; son: Kasey Shipp and Leslie Greiner of Abington, VA; grandchildren: Ryan Gonzales, Lacey Gonzales and Zachary Gonzales; great grandchildren: Addison Gonzales and Paisley Granados; along with Bobby Shipp and wife Linda.

The family suggests with gratitude that memorials be made to BSA Hospice of the Southwest.
