Donna Clarice Gillenwaters

Donna Gillenwaters, 84 formerly of Stratford, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 oclock in the morning on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Stratford with Pastor Damon Stalvey, pastor of the church officiating and James Gillenwaters assisting. Private burial will take place in the Stratford Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Donna was born on July 10, 1935 to Leonard and Margaret (Kennedy) Boise. She married Billy Duane Gillenwaters on May 29, 1954 in Buffalo, OK and the couple moved to Stratford in 1968 where they would make their home. Donna graduated from Panhandle State University with a B.S. in Education and spent her career as an elementary school teacher in Stratford for over 33 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stratford. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Bill Gillenwaters; siblings: Beverly, Lorraine, Elaine, Loren, Kenneth and Robert. Donna is survived by her sons: Duane Lee Gillenwaters and wife Stephanie of Moreland, OK and James Gillenwaters of Bushland, TX; Five grandchildren: Jacy Donn Gillenwaters, Dasan Brody Gillenwaters and Tala Bly Gillenwaters all of Moreland, Ok, Kylee Elizabeth Gillenwaters and Kaiden James Gillenwaters of Bushland, TX.
