Donnie Jones

Donnie Jones, 34, passed away November 26, 2011 in Dumas. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday November 29, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Donnie was born June 8, 1977 in Dumas to Kyle and Carol Jones. He grew up in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School in 1995. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Donnie was an avid Harley enthusiast and biker. He was passionate about his two nieces and his family. Donnie would still call his father everyday and ask, Dad, did you get home from work ok Donnie was always willing to help others by selling tickets for various benefits. Donnie was rough around the edges but had a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Donnie was preceded in death by his mother Carol in 2007, and his paternal grandparents Lee and Judy Jones. He is survived by his father Kyle Jones, a brother Chris Jones and wife Susan, two nieces, Jolee and Rylee Jones and his grandmother Wilma Nelson, all of Dumas. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family suggests memorials be made to Panhandle Childrens Foundation, PO Box 1541, Dumas TX 79029 or Toys For Tots, 2500 Tee Anchor Blvd, Amarillo TX 79110. The family will be at 1400 Twitchell.
