Dorothy “Dot” McEntire, 81 of Dumas passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor David Gadberry, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 o’clock to 5 o’clock in the afternoon at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.Dot was born on August 16, 1939, in Eastland County, TX to Doug and O’dell (White) Fenwick. She married Don McEntire on July 31, 1959, in Dumas, TX. They were married for 51 years when he passed away in 2010. Dot loved camping with Don and in her later years, her favorite pastime was sitting on the front porch. In addition to her husband, Don, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Brenda Rachels; sister: Wanda McKay; nephew: Ray McKay.Dot is survived by her sons: Donnie McEntire and wife Cathy of Dumas, TX and Curt McEntire and wife Sandra of Canyon, TX; grandchildren: Abby Montoya and husband Kevin, Britt McEntire, Tasia McEntire, Coby McEntire and wife Ansley, Jennifer Tipton and husband Tandon, Scott Rachels and wife Holly; great-grandchildren: Brenli Curbo, Camden Montoya, Ezra Montoya, Remi Montoya, Ava McEntire, Shaylee Rachels, Jaden Rachels, Ethan Rachels, Lissy McEntire, Roczen McEntire, Taylee Rachels, and Brekken Rachels.
