Dorothy Roberta Forsyth

Dorothy R Forsyth, 84 of Dumas passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 in Dumas. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Dumas Cemetery with her daughter Debie speaking. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Dorothy was born June 30, 1927 In Colorado Springs, CO to Robert and Elizabeth Read. On March 12, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert Forsyth in Yuma AZ, he preceded her in death in 1977. Dorothy was a member of the 1st Street Church of Christ in Dumas. She loved the clouds but feared storms. She also had a special love for sunflowers, but her greatest joy was taking pictures of her grandchildren and spending time with them. She will be missed. She is survived by her four daughters, Debie Jeter and husband Michael of Dumas, Elizabeth Richey and husband John of Cincinnati OH, Virginia Register of Amarillo, and Jane Bolton and husband Johnny of Dalhart 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
