Dorris Faye Tate

Dorris Faye Tate, 80 formerly of Dumas passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 o’clock in the morning on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Fobbs, officiating. Interment will follow at Brown Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Dorris was born on July 24, 1941 in Borger, TX to Russell and Clara (Campbell) Krapf. She attended schools in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School. On July 7, 1962 she was united in marriage to Gene Tate and they were blessed with three children. Gene preceded her in death on November 27, 2021. After many years living in Dumas they moved to Custer, Washington where she owned and operated Dorris’s Donuts for 15 years. 

In addition to her husband, Gene, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Mildred, Imogene, Mary, and Alma; brother: Harland.

Dorris is survived by her son: Raymond Tate and wife Karen of Dumas Texas; daughters Lisa Tate and Kelli Miller and husband Ron of Custer Washington; sister: Janice Moore of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Blake Tate of Dumas Texas, Brittney Carter of Guymon Oklahoma, Sabrina, Mackenzie and Marisa Miller of Custer Washington, Shawn Anderson of Stephenville Texas, Fred and Sierra Roscoe of Malone Florida, Christopher and Angelica Roscoe of Dumas Texas and 10 great grandchildren.
