Earl E. Blair, 78 of Stratford passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Friday, July 19, 2024 at First Methodist Church in Stratford with Pastor Robert Burke, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Earl was born on September 12, 1945, in Emporia, KS to Earl and Gladys (Uhl) Blair. He married Betty Hays on September 17, 1965 in Emporia, KS; she preceded him in death in 2023. Earl proudly serviced his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the local American Legion. Earl worked in the beef industry starting at ground level and retiring after 25 years where he became a supervisor and later an assistant to the superintendent. After retirement, he went to work for the city of Stratford in the wastewater department. He enjoyed woodworking and was excellent at it. Earl made several pieces of furniture for family members and bookshelves for the church. Earl also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good joke. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Stratford. 

In addition to his wife, Betty he was preceded in death by his brother: Ted C. Blair; sister: Gladys “Dee” Flood. 

Earl is survived by his son: Bryan Blair and wife Brenda of Great Falls, MT; daughter: Lori Blair of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Brittany Montalvo and husband Diego, Brandon Blair, Bradley Blair, Zachary Blair and wife Chantelle; great-grandson: Dakota Blair; sisters-in-law: Sue Blair of Terra Haute, IN, Sharon Hays of Wellington, KS, Elvie Aikens and husband Charles of Wilsey, KS; brother-in-law: David Hays and wife Barbara of Salina, KS.
