Edna Aliene West

Edna Aliene West, 91, passed from this life on Friday, January 14, 2011. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 17, 2011 at First Christian Church in Dumas. Rev. Darrell Wait, pastor of the church will be officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Edna was born on February 14, 1919 to James D. and Allie Louise Clemmer Briscoe in Hope, New Mexico. She married John Milton West on October 7, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2010. She was also preceded in death by one sister and six brothers. Edna retired from Duval Mining at Pecos, Texas in 1985. Survivors include her two sons, Johnny West and wife Jeanette of Dumas and Gary West of Las Cruces, NM one sister, Darlene Mosley of Artesia, NM two grandsons, Dr. Jack West and wife Kasey of Leander, TX, and Jonathan West and wife Nina of Grand Junction, CO. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dumas Memorial Hospital and Memorial Hospice. A special thanks to Dr. Opara and Dr. Miguel for their care and service.
