Eduwiges Marquez

Eduwiges Marquez, 89 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. A Rosary will be recited at 6 oclock in the evening on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 oclock in the afternoon on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Eduwiges was born on October 17, 1930 in Chihuahua, MX to Manuel and Maria (Ruiz) Marquez. He married Moncerrat Duran on January 30, 1954; she preceded him in death on June 10, 2018. Eduwiges favorite pastimes were horses, horse races and he loved the ranch life. Eduwiges dedicated his life to his family and to helping others. He was always smiling. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his wife: Moncerrat; his parents and son-in-law: Arturo Reyes. Eduwiges is survived by his children: Maria Marquez, Rosa Marquez, Socorro Marquez and wife Yolanda, Victoria Macias and husband Ignacio, Irene Reyes, Vico Marquez and wife Sharon, Martina Sandoval and husband Gonsalo, Patricia Marquez and husband Manuel, Moncerrat Marquez and wife Lourdes, and Cecy Marquez and Martin Ponce; 42 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
