Eleuteria Salcido Nevarez, 71 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017. The Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock in the evening on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 o'clock in the morning on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Eleuteria was born on February 20, 1946 in Mexico to Hilario and Suzana (Lopez) Salcido. Eleuteria was united in marriage to Candelario Nevarez in 1962; they were married for over 54 years. She was a devout Catholic and a beloved member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Eleuteria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a pillar of strength and faith to her family and friends. She truly loved them all. Eleuteria will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Manuel and Aurelio Salcido.
Eleuteria is survived by her husband, Candelario of the home; daughters: Juana Green and Concepcion Borunda both of Dumas; sons: Mario Nevarez and wife Eva, Miguel Nevarez and wife Carol, and Omar Nevarez all of Dumas; sisters: Antonia Salcido, Maria Dolores Salcido, and Blanca Estella Salcido all of Mexico, and Maria Chacon of Dumas; brothers: Saturino Salcido Lopez and Rito Salcido both of Mexico, and Juan Salcido of Dumas; 14 grandchildren and 11 eleven great-grandchildren with two on the way.
