Elia Z. Gonzales

Elia Z. Gonzales 73 passed away Friday, October 5, 2007 in Dumas, Texas. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at North Plains Christian Church with Rev. Sam White, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Elia Z. Gonzales was born September 8, 1934 in Duval County, Texas to Antonio and Paula Zapata. She married Frank Gonzales who preceded her in death. She had been a resident of Dumas since 1980 and was a nurses aide for many years. She was preceded in death by four grandchildren and three sisters. Survivors include; daughter, Mary Abbe of Dalhart, daughter, Yolonda Sevier, son Frank Gonzales Jr. of Amarillo, daughter, Cilvea Gonzales of Amarillo, daughter, Patty Merrit of Dumas, daughter, Frances Alaniz of Amarillo, daughter Kathy Rangel; four sister, Lupe Guajardo of Dumas, Tina Davila and Melinda Martinez both of Lubbock, Vicky Zapata; brother Raul Zapata of Brownwood; 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
