Elvia Sanchez

Elvia Sanchez, 81 of Dumas passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 oclock in the morning on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Pastor Jesus Rivera, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Elvia was born on December 19, 1938 in Del Rio, TX to Librado and Hortencia (Gonzalez) Garza. She was a resident of Dumas for over 53 years. Her favorite hobby was knitting; she also enjoyed dancing. Elvia adored her family; nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by her family. Her children and grandchildren will remember her as very devoted, loving mother and grandmother. Elvia was an active member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers: Otoniel and Leo Garza; son-in-law: Jose Aguirre. Elvia is survived by her children: Sylvia Aguirre, Leonard Sanchez, Jr., Everardo "E.V. Sanchez all of Dumas, TX, Brenda Macias of Buda, TX, Pauline Sanchez and Cruz Mendoza both of Dumas, TX; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
