Emma L. Brown, 91, formerly of Sunray, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Sunray Baptist Church with Rev. Andrew Martin, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors.
Emma was born on April 23, 1925 in Texhoma, OK to John Emmett and Sadie Irene (Lanners) Ryan. She was united in marriage to Epps Brown on February 2, 1946 in Amarillo, TX; he preceded her in death in 1990. The couple moved to Sunray where they raised their family and owned Brown Implement. Emma loved to visit with her friends. She also liked to work puzzles, crochet and loved to cook for her family. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son: Eugene; daughter: Billie Evans; and a granddaughter: Karen Evans.
She is survived by her son: Weyman Brown and wife Vicki of Canyon; daughter: Elaine Pool and husband Jack of Van; grandchildren: Pete Brown, Greg Evans, Jeff Brown, Jackie Foust, Jill Pool, Wendy Dooley and Wade Brown; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
