Emma Carrillo

Emma Carrillo, 71 of Stratford, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024. Viewing will be on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 10 o’clock in the morning until 6 o’clock in the evening at Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Home in Stratford. A Rosary service will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 from 7 o'clock until 9 o'clock in the evening at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stratford. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stratford with Father Victor Hugo Andrade as celebrant. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas.

Emma was born in San Diego, Zacatecas, Mexico on May 24, 1953 to Antonio and Raquel (Flores) Ruiz. She enjoyed helping others and taking care of her family. She married the love of her life, Ubaldo Carrillo on August 18. 1973 in Monte Escobedo, Zacatecas. Life brought them to Stratford, Tx where Emma and Ubaldo raised their family. Emma continued helping others and retired as a seamstress, sewing and knitting especially for her grandchildren. She had a passion for embroidering and making doll clothes for her grandchildren’s Barbie dolls. Emma also enjoyed singing and dancing to her favorite Mexican music, especially at home. She also had a green thumb and loved tending to her plants and flowers. Emma was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and dearly loved by her family and friends, she will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son: Leobardo Carrillo and a son-in-law: Jonathan Clements.

Emma is survived by her husband Ubaldo of the home; children: Ubaldo Carrillo, Jr, Beatriz and husband Abel Marquez, Osvaldo Carrillo, Alejandra and husband Jose Vasquez, Aldo Carrillo and wife Kat, Jazmin and husband Steve Ortega, all of Stratford, Tx. and Raquel Carrillo of Arkansas; six brothers and five sisters; 21 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many relatives and friends. 

Emma Carrillo, de 71 años, de Stratford, falleció el viernes 30 de agosto de 2024. El velatorio será el viernes 6 de septiembre de 2024 desde las 10 de la mañana hasta las 6 de la tarde en la funeraria Beeson ~ Morrison en Stratford. El viernes 6 de septiembre de 2024 se llevará a cabo un servicio de rosario desde las 7 hasta las 9 de la noche en la iglesia católica de San José en Stratford. El sábado 7 de septiembre de 2024 a las 3 de la tarde se celebrará una misa fúnebre en la iglesia católica de San José en Stratford con el padre Víctor Hugo Andrade como celebrante. Los arreglos están a cargo de Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors de Dumas. 

Emma nació en San Diego, Zacatecas, México el 24 de mayo de 1953, hija de Antonio y Raquel (Flores) Ruiz. Le gustaba ayudar a los demás y cuidar de su familia. Se casó con el amor de su vida, Ubaldo Carrillo, el 18 de agosto 1973 en Monte Escobedo, Zacatecas. La vida los llevó a Stratford, Texas, donde Emma y Ubaldo criaron a su familia. Emma continuó ayudando a los demás y se retiró como costurera, cosiendo y tejiendo especialmente para sus nietos. Le apasionaba bordar y hacer ropa para las muñecas Barbie de sus nietas. A Emma también le gustaba cantar y bailar su música ranchera favorita, especialmente en casa. También le gustaba tener jardin y le encantaba cuidar sus plantas y flores. Emma era miembro de la Iglesia Católica de San José y muy querida por su familia y amigos, la extrañaremos profundamente.

Le preceden en la muerte sus padres; un hijo: Leobardo Carrillo y un yerno: Jonathan Clements.

A Emma le sobrevive su esposo Ubaldo retirado; hijos: Ubaldo Carrillo, Jr, Beatriz y su esposo Abel Márquez, Osvaldo Carrillo, Alejandra y su esposo José Vásquez, Aldo Carrillo y su esposa Kat, 

Jazmín y su esposo Steve Ortega, todos de Stratford, Tx y Raquel Carrillo de Arkansas; seis hermanos y cinco hermanas; 21 nietos y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas, así como muchos parientes y amigos.
