Emma Lee Preston, 10 years old of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, February 24, 2023 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Fobbs, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock in the evening at the funeral home.
Emma was born on January 30, 2013, in Amarillo TX to Chandler and Natasha Preston. She was currently a 4th grader at Morningside Elementary School. Emma loved the color pink, unicorns and llamas. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Emma’s life was the definition of Gods love for us, she brightened everyone’s life that knew her. Emma knew Jesus as her savior, sang praises to him even on her hardest days. If she could come back and tell us anything, it would be to grab ahold of your hand and lead you to the Jesus that has now given her a new restored body and eternal life. Emma’s life motto was to sprinkle kindness around like confetti. If everyone could see what Emma’s family has seen through their eyes, everyone would believe in and accept the gift of salvation through the sacrifice Jesus made for each and every one of us.
Emma is preceded in death by her great great grandparents: A.J. and Edna Harris, Annie and Bill Nation, Boyd and June Jones, Burl and Laverne Jones and Tony and Fondra Preston.
