Ernestine "Teenie" Lanham

Ernestine “Teenie” Lanham, 87 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022. A Private Graveside will be held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial services will be held at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Temple Baptist Church with Grady Burkhalter, officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock in the evening on Tuesday. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Teenie was born on September 19, 1934, in Gray, OK to William Ernest and Laura Etta (Reeves) Groves. She was united in marriage to John “Tuffy” Lanham on October 31, 1952, in Borger, TX. The couple moved to Dumas in 1968 where they made their home. Teenie was a very talented seamstress. She loved to fill her time making clothes, crocheting and upholstery. Teenie was a member of Temple Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tuffy, parents; son: Scooter; sister: Laura Lee Longcrier and great grandson Aaron Patrick Saiv.

Teenie is survived by her sons: Kenneth Lanham and wife Georgia, James Lanham and wife Kelli all of Dumas, TX; daughter: Lynn Johnson of Dumas; daughter-in-law: Cynthia Lanham of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Kenneth “Boots” Lanham and wife Michelle, Cathy Lanham, Ollie Lanham and wife Christy, Dusty Lanham and wife Heather, Michael Johnson and wife Kim, Derrick Lanham and wife Haupe, and Brady Lanham; 14 great grandchildren; special nephew Terry Hough and wife Sandra and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
