Ernesto Olalde Salcido

Ernesto Olalde Salcido 62 of Dumas passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. Graveside Services are scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Dumas Cemetery with Deacon Rickey De La Rosa officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Ernesto was born on July 6, 1961, in Lubbock, TX to Jose and Petra Patsy (Olalde) Salcido. He moved to Dumas at a young age where he graduated from Dumas High School.  He later became a maintenance mechanic, he could fix anything and loved everything that had to do with maintaining and working on vehicles. He loved his trade.  He was always the life of the party and enjoyed a good time.  He was of Catholic Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Joe “Little Joe” Salcido.

Ernesto is survived by his daughters: Valerie Salcido of Dumas, TX, Jacqueline Smith and husband Jason of Minot, ND; son: Isaac Salcido of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Gideon Flores and wife Cassidy, Dayvanee Flores, Adrie Flores, Jameson Smith; great-grandchild: Canyon Flores; sisters: Christina Miller of Fremont, NE, Nati Ortiz of Dumas, TX, Amanda Gutierrez of Arturo of Dumas, TX, Leticia Brown and husband Ronnie of Leander, TX, Michelle Borough and husband James of Norman, OK; brothers: Eddie Salcido of Dumas, TX, Manuel Salcido and wife Sherry of Amarillo, TX, Robert Salcido of Amarillo, TX; many beloved nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
