Esperanza Cano Gonzalez

Esperanza Cano-Gonzalez, 76, of Dumas, Tx passed away on May 29, 2023. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 6 o’clock in the afternoon at Templo Elim Asamblea De Dios. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 11 o’clock in the morning at Templo Elim Asamblea De Dios with Pastor Moses Rodriguez, officiating. Internment will follow at Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Esperanza was born on August 1, 1946, in Praxedis Guerrero, Chihuahua, Mexico to Esteban Gonzalez and Cirila Solis. Esperanza married Enrique Esquivel on November 21, 1970, together they raised 4 kids. Her husband Enrique passed away on June 15, 1993. Several years later she was united in marriage to Abelardo Cano on October 25, 1997; he also preceded her in death on November 10, 2020.  Esperanza moved to Dumas in 1997 and worked for the Dumas Jr. High School cafeteria for 15 years. Esperanza was a devoted member of Templo Elim, she loved to sing, worship, and pray. She was a woman of God and will be missed by all her friends and family whose hearts she touched.

Esperanza is preceded in death by her husbands; in addition, she is also preceded by her parents.

Esperanza is survived by her children: Sandra Esquivel and husband Jorge of Dumas, Tx, Romelia Esquivel of Dumas, Tx, Enrique Esquivel and wife Alicia of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Dora Esther Espinoza and husband Luis Alonso of Dumas, Tx; Siblings: Elias Gonzalez of Albuquerque, NM, Lidia Gonzales of Los Lunas, NM, and Esther Gonzalez of El Paso, TX; Grandchildren: Sandra Chairez, Jorge Armando Chairez, Perla Chairez, Melissa Esquivel, Enrique Esquivel III, Yoselin Esquivel, Annette Esperanza Espinoza, and Karyme Espinoza; Great- Grandchildren: Alani Duran, Alex Duran, and Astrid Hope S. Espinoza.
