Esperanza Varela

Esperanza Varela, 81 of Presidio passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. A Service is scheduled for 6 o’clock in the evening on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Esperanza was born on September 1, 1942 to Pablo and Eulalia (Samaniego) Varela. She was a devout Catholic who volunteered her time to church functions. Esperanza loved reading her bible. She also loved animals and feeding birds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson: Robert; granddaughter: Shania.

Esperanza is survived by her children: Julia Muniz of Las Cruces, NM, Ramon Muniz of Dumas TX, Matilda Muniz of Pecos, TX, Alejandro Muniz of Blackwell, OK, Armando Muniz of Mexico; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
