Esther Salgado de Holguin, 77 of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 4 oclock in the afternoon on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Widener, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
Esther was born on May 26, 1943 in Colonia Lazaro Cardenas, Chihuahua, Mexico to Bernardino and Guadalupe (Diaz Orozco) Salgado. She married Joaquin Holguin, Sr. on June 19, 1964 in Colonia Anahuac, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Esther had a deep and passionate love for God; she was a true servant and dedicated Prayer Warrior. She loved to sing especially worship songs. Esther had a generous heart who always made everyone feel special. She never met a stranger.
Her favorite pastime was listening to KDDD radio and playing trivia competition. She was a very supporting and loving mother and grandmother. She loved cooking for her family and friends. Her family was very important to her as well as friends. Esther will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: David, Ezequiel, Pablo, Benjamin, Jaime, Salgado.
Esther is survived by her husband, Joaquin, of the home; children: Joaquin Holguin and wife Jackie, Edward Holguin and wife Sandra all of Dumas, TX, Juanita Diaz and husband Bernardino of Amarillo, TX, Anna Holguin and Carlos Ortiz of Salt Lake City, UT, and Elizabeth Kent and husband Terry of Dumas; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
