Esther Irma Rodriguez 59 passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Edgar Chavez, pastor of Iglesia Bautista Latino Americana officiating. She will be in state at her church on 5th and Oak. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Esther Irma Rodriguez was born April 5, 1949 in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico to Juan and Eunice Garay. On April 6, 1968 she married Hilario Rodriguez. She had been a waitress for 18 years at Alberts Restaurant. She loved to travel and work in her flower garden. Esther was devoted to God. Other than her salvation there was nothing greater in life than her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved sharing the word of God with others. She had been a resident of Dumas for 27 years and was a member of Iglesia Bautista Latino Americana Church.
The family would like to thank the doctor and paramedics for the care she received.
Survivors include; her husband, Hilario of the home; son, Sergio Rodriguez and wife, Mary; daughters, Elizabeth Morrison and Miriam Rodriguez, all of Dumas; brother, Juan Garay of Longview, Wash; sisters, Alfa Vasquez of El Paso, Magdelena Velazquez and Sandra Torres, both of Woodland, Calif; Eunice Alvarez, Martha Reynaga, Rebeca Torres, Sara Tabares, all of Dumas; grandchildren, Christian, Laura and Dominique Rodriguez, Josh and Eli Valdez and Mazzy Madonna Morrison.
