Eugene Gene Testerman, 66, passed away on December 30, 2010. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Dumas. Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church will be officiating, assisted by Rev. Jerry Howe. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Gene was born on April 6, 1944 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Harold Jude and Anna Belle Testerman. He attended Dumas High School. He retired from Arkansas One Call, where he located power lines in the field. He served in the Army National Guard. Gene married Sue Lindsey on June 10, 1994 in Van Buren. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Gene was a talented woodworker, and he loved working in his wood shop. He built bird houses and other projects. He was a devoted husband, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carmen Testerman.
Gene is survived by his wife, Sue of the home two brothers, Jack Testerman of Phoenix, AZ and Tommy Testerman of Sahurita, AZ two sisters, Lois Dick of Williams, AZ, and Karen Long of Denver City, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice Home Care, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029.
The family will be at 808 Pheasant Run in Dumas.
