Eulalia Gutierrez

Eulalia Gutierrez, 84 of Cactus, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jesus Rivera officiating. Interment will follow in the Dumas Cemetery. A family visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Eulalia was born on November 3, 1927 in Sinton, Texas to Simon and Chavela Molina Tijerina. She was united in marriage to Jessie Gutierrez in 1946 in Sinton. He preceded her in death. Eulalia moved to the area in 1964, and remained a resident of the Cactus community until her death. She was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista Church. Eulalia was a loving and devoted homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. In addition to her husband, Jessie Gutierrez, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Chavela Tijerina, and three sons, Jacinto Gutierrez Jr, Ramiro Gutierrez, and Ray Gutierrez. Eulalia is survived by five daughters, Janie Gatica of Dumas, Mary Lou Baeza of Cactus, Irma Navarez of Waxahachie, Sylvia Gomez of Guymon, OK, and Jenny Uriostegui of Port Neches, TX one son, Ralph Gutierrez of Dumas one sister, Janie Garces of New Braunfels one brother, Ramon Tijerina of Sinton and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
