Evelyn Joyce Stone

Evelyn Joyce Stone, 79 of Sunray, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Saturday, October 31 in Lane Memorial Cemetery with Wayne Norrell, Deacon at Christ the King Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Evelyn was born on February 4, 1936 to J.W. and Sarah (Kinsey) Evans in Vernon, TX. She was a resident of the community since 1957. Evelyn was happily married to Bobby George until his passing in 2004. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, cooking for her family and friends and reading recipes. Evelyn will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother: Gene Evans. Evelyn is survived by two daughters: Connie Jackson and husband Andy of Portales, NM and Vanetta Passmore of Sayre, OK; four grandchildren: Christy Songy and husband Paul of Schertz, TX, Brad Morton and wife Angel of Piedmont, OK, Valerie Richardson and husband Kiley of Robert Lee, TX, and Justin Passmore and wife Tammy of Sayre, OK; and 10 great grandchildren.
