Everett Leroy McCutchan

Everett Leroy McCutchan, 73 of Dumas passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Dumas Cemetery with Brother Sammy Eaton and Caleb McCutchan, officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 o'clock to 7:30 in the evening at the funeral home.  Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Leroy was born on January 2, 1950, in Clayton, NM to Don and Nada (Fowlkes) McCutchan. The family moved to Dumas where Leroy attended school and graduated from Dumas High School in 1968.  He married Shirley Ridley on July 30, 1970, in Dumas, TX. Leroy worked for Continental Carbon for over 41 years until his retirement.  He enjoyed working on projects and helping others. Leroy was also known for his ornery side.  His favorite pastime was camping with his children and grandchildren.  Leroy was a member of Life Tabernacle Church and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Dorvel McCutchan.

Leroy is survived by his wife Shirley of the home; sons: Cody McCutchan and wife Karly of Amarillo, TX and Lance McCutchan and wife Ashley of Woodward, OK; daughter: Keena McDaniel and husband Eric of Dumas, TX; brother: Belvin McCutchan and wife Pam of Borger, TX; grandchildren: Jade, Chloe, Mikah, Madi, Xander, Trista, Christian, and Jenna; great-grandchild: Eleanor along with numerous other extended family members.
