Filiberto R. Martinez

Filiberto R. Martinez, 89, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008 in Dumas. Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Primera Iglesia Bautista Church with Rev. Jesus Rivera, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Filiberto R. Martinez was born August 10, 1919 in Durango, Mexico to Jose and Josefa Ruiz. He had been a resident of Dumas for 16 years and was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista Church. Survivors include; his wife of 67 years, Bernarda; daughters, Teresa Ornelas and husband, Pablo of Borger, Carmen Lara and husband, Juan, Rosario Diaz and husband, Carlos, Emma Meraz and husband, Rito, Lucy Garcia all of Dumas, Yolanda Avalos and husband, David of El Paso; sons, Angel Ruiz, Ernesto Ruiz and wife, Rosa, Abraham Ruiz and wife, Maria, Enrique Ruiz and wife, Piedad all of Mexico, Beto Ruiz and wife, Amalia of Borger; and numerous grandchildren. The family will be at 1216 Durrett in Dumas.
