Frances Beth Aurora Burnett Fisher, 93 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012. Graveside services are scheduled for 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Dumas Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dumas will be officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Frances was born on October 27, 1918 in Dumas, Texas to Wilson and Stella Kimbrough Burnett. She graduated from Dumas High School and went on to attend West Texas State University in Canyon. She was united in marriage to T. E. Fisher on April 26, 1941 in Moore County. He preceded her in death in 1996. Frances had been a resident of Moore County for her entire life. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also a member of Eastern Star.
Frances was a loving and devoted homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She was a good cook, and enjoyed cooking for her family. Frances loved all types of flowers. She enjoyed working on genealogy for her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, T.E. Fisher, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Burnett and W.B. Burnett.
Frances is survived by one son, Wilson E. Fisher and wife Susan of Centreville, Virginia two daughters, Nan Isham and husband David of Fritch and Fran Dake of Canyon one sister, Marthlyn Chism of Bluffton five grandchildren ten great grandchildren and numerous other family members.
The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029 or the Moore County Historical Society, 1820 S. Dumas Avenue, Dumas, TX, 79029.
