Frances "Fran" Hutcherson

Frances “Fran” Hutcherson, 74 of Dumas passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Zane Powers, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Fran was born on October 4, 1950, in Sayre, OK to William R. and Marion E. (Cline) Jones. She was united in marriage to James Hutcherson on February 24, 1977, in Dumas, TX. Fran worked at Dumas Motor Parts and several years at Dumas High School in the ISS Room where she enjoyed building relationships with the “hard” students. Fran owned and operated The Blossom Shop for 8 years and enjoyed all the friends she made there. Fran’s biggest pride and joy were her grandchildren and she enjoyed being the ornery grandmother. She was of Christian Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Fran is survived by her husband, Jim of the home; daughters: Melony Coltrain of Dumas, TX, Jacque Ahola of Oklahoma City, OK; sons: Cory Hudson and wife Jenny of Tuscaloosa, AL, Jimmy Hutcherson and wife Nicole of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Cyndel, Neeka, Breanna, Aiden, MacKinsey, Andi, Iain, Kendall, Keaton and Kambree; brothers: Bill Jones and wife Sue of Ft. Worth, TX, Wayne Jones of Amarillo, TX and Tom Jones and wife Marci of Amarillo, TX along with special friend: Molly Clements; 7 nieces and nephews.
