Frances Jalomo, 79 of Cactus, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Nuestra Seora de Guadalupe Church in Cactus with Father Carlos Castro as celebrant. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Thursday at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Frances was born on June 16, 1935 in Korn, TX to Simplecio and Susana (Gonzales) Gonzales. She was united in marriage to Elias Jalomo in Uvalde, TX on December 2, 1954; she was a resident of Cactus for 45 years. Frances' favorite pastime was gardening, sewing, and crafts. Her greatest enjoyment was being a devoted wife and a loving mother; she cherished her grandchildren and the time she spent with her family. Frances was a member of Nuestra Seora de Guadalupe Church in Cactus. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her son, Sammy Jalomo.
Frances is survived by her husband, Elias, of the home; children: Julia Gonzalez and husband Paul, Elias Jalomo, Jr. and wife Laura, Lupe Jalomo and wife Norma, Ricky Jalomo and wife Cindy Garcia all of Dumas, Amada Jalomo of Cactus, Mary Fuentes and husband Maurico of Dumas, Olivia Jalomo of Amarillo, Susanna Porras and husband Jose of Odessa, and Larry Jalomo and wife Tina of Midwest City, OK; fifty-four grandchildren; one hundred twenty-four great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; and sister: Simona Santellano.
