Frances Mazie Kotara

Frances "Gran Gran" Kotara, 109 years young, of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, TX. The rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Frances was born on December 27, 1911 in Tucumcari, NM to Hulder and Susan Olsen. She was very witty and crafty. She did needlepoint, ceramics, crochet and knitting among numerous other hobbies. She was a wonderful cook with flair. Frances was a devout Catholic and while in Pampa, served on the Altar Society. In her earlier years, she worked as a telephone operator and truly enjoyed her job. She adored her children, grandchildren and nieces: Shirley Griffith and Valory Falke, nephews: Trent Olsen, Rod, Chris and Bryan Caldwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Jimmie Olsen, Frank Olsen (twin), Clarence Olsen; sisters: Sylvia Ferrier and Alice Sechrist; husband: Conrad Kotara; children: Terry Kotara and Paulette Jerome. Frances is survived by her daughter: Dorma Bray and husband Gary of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Shane Kotara and wife Laurraine, Tena Dennis, Ruston Bray and wife Tana, Rance Bray, Jason Jerome and wife Catie, Amber Norrgard and husband Bryan; great grandchildren: Dalton, Paislee, Haden and Halee Bray, Jennifer Savino, Danielle Kotara, Tiffiny Reames, Colby Dennis, Luke, Tyler, Cody and Sawyer Jerome, Orion, Autumn and Benjamin Norrgard; great great grandchildren: Maciee and Chase Reames; great great great grandchildren: Milo and Matthew Reames.
