Frances Reed

Frances Reed, 88, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 13, at Dumas Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Frances was born June 20, 1921 in Gladstone, New Mexico to Charles and Lena King. On April 6, 1942 she married R.A. Ick Reed in Dumas, Texas. He preceded her in death May 25, 1978. She was a sales clerk at several local stores. While her husband was sheriff of Moore County she cooked the meals at the jail. Frances had been a resident of Dumas since 1942 and attended the Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Jim Reed and wife Colleen of Grand Prairie.
