Freda Holmes

Freda Holmes, 92, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008 in Spearman, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 7, 2008 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Wagoner, retired minister officiating. Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Freda Holmes was born March 31, 1916 at Sawyer, Oklahoma to Abraham and Janie Coy. On June 4, 1949 she married George Holmes in Dumas, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was a clerk at Montgomery Ward Store for 15 years. Freda had been a resident of Dumas since 1949 and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Joel Formby in 1989. Survivors include; daughters, Linda Counts and husband Tommy of Borger, Deborah Trinchini and husband, Tony of Simonton; son Don Formby and wife, Elaine of Bedford; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. The family will have a visitation from 7:00 to 8:00PM at Morrison Funeral Directors on Thursday, November 6, 2008. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 395, Dumas, TX 79029.
