Gail Tebeest, 62 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 oclock on the morning of Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Darrell Wait, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 oclock in the morning in Wills Point TX on Friday, October 31, 2014. A family visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 1014, from 6:30 until 8:30 in the evening at the funeral home. Services are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Gail was born on November 28, 1951 in Wills Point TX, to Richard and Arlene Bratcher Furrh. She was raised and received her education in Wills Point where she graduated from high school. She then went on to receive her Bachelors Degree in Education from East Texas State University. She moved to Dumas in 1974 when she began teaching. She was united in marriage to Ron Tebeest on July 2, 1977 in Wills Point. She later received her Library Science Degree from Texas Tech University and finished her career as the Morningside Elementary School Librarian. Gail was a member of the First Christian Church in Dumas and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Gail was a very crafty individual, enjoyed playing Bunko, and was always doing things for others. She was also very supportive of her children in their activities. Gail was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived her husband Ron, of the home children: Amanda Serpa and husband Michael of Paris, TX and Ryan Tebeest and wife Christa of Missouri City, TX grandchildren: Aubrey Serpa and Hudson Tebeest sister Karen King and husband Lynn of Wills Point and numerous extended family members. The family suggests memorials be made to the Dumas Education Foundation, PO Box 615, Dumas TX 79029. The family will be at 806 Shamrock.
