Gary Kitchen, 59 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of the Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock in the evening on Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Gary was born on September 21, 1956 in Washington DC to Samuel and Elaine Kitchen. He proudly served his county in the US Army. On September 24, 2015, he was united in marriage to Jonette Brown in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Gary was fondly known as a Jack-Of-All-Trades. He loved old vehicles, traveling, anything archaeology, and animals; especially cats. Gary also loved to travel. He visited every state except Alaska. Gary was of Christian Faith and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife: Eileen in 2012.
Gary is survived by his wife Jonette of the home; daughter: Sara Kitchen of Las Cruces, NM; step-daughters: Leslie Burkhalter and husband Grady, Tiffany Lewis and husband Aaron all of Dumas, Alyssia Roberts and husband Paxton of Virginia Beach, VA; sister: Amy Korman and husband Lee of Columbus, MD; and numerous other extended family members.
