Gary Palmer

Gary Palmer, 77 of Stratford, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11 o’clock in the morning on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Stratford Cemetery with Pastor DeWayne Gion, officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 o’clock to 5 o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday at the funeral home in Stratford. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Gary was born on December 24, 1946, in Dalhart, TX to Lamoine and Fern (Shipp) Palmer. He grew up in Stratford where he graduated from Stratford High School. Gary married June Huggins on March 4, 1966, in Stratford, TX where the couple made their home and raised their family. Gary worked for Empire Construction as a welder and later in life went to work for Sherman County. He was a member of the Stratford Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Gary is survived by his wife, June of the home, daughter: Sabrina Melton and husband Travis of Stratford, TX; son: Jade Palmer and Stephanie of Stratford, TX; 6 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
