Gay Cranfill Clark

Gay McFarland Cranfill Clark, 75 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 14, 2012 at First Street Church of Christ in Dumas, with Chauncey Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 13, 2012 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M at 410 Floyd in Dumas. Gay was born on July 22, 1936 in Friona, Texas to J. G. and Irene Campbell McFarland. She was a long time Dumas resident and a member of First Street Church of Christ. Gay was united in marriage to Harold Clark seventeen years ago in Dumas. Gay was a devoted mother and homemaker who loved her family deeply. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Ben Jordan and Dr. G. Lee Cranfill, Jr., her parents, and a sister, Janice McFarland. Gay is survived by her husband, Harold one daughter, Beth Cranfill Kaufman of Plano two sons, Dr. Ben J. Cranfill and Dr. G. Lee Cranfill, III, both of Jonesboro, AR two sisters, Lunell Horton and Doris Barnett, both of Friona two brothers, John McFarland and Dr. David McFarland, both of Austin and six grandchildren, Kendall and Caroline Kaufman, Emily and Lindy Cranfill, and Preach and Thomas Cranfill. The family suggests memorials be to The Refuge, 1009 S. Maddox, Dumas, TX 79029.
