Genoveva Alejandra Lopez

Genoveva Alejandra Lopez, 24 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Luis Lopez, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Genoveva was born on September 8, 1999, to Esmeralda (Gutierrez) Lopez in Amarillo, TX. She grew up in Dumas where she graduated from Dumas High School in 2019. Genoveva loved listening to her music. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Genoveva will be forever remembered and loved for her beautiful smile and her big dimples as well as her kind heart. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter: Elena Arabella Villanueva and Ivan Villanueva the love of her life.

Genoveva is survived by her daughter: Janelle Isabella Lopez of the home; mother: Esmeralda Lopez of Dumas, TX; step-father: Saul Martinez of Dumas, TX; sisters: Cecilia Lopez Olivo and husband Jorge, Iris Lopez and husband Jesus Perez all of Dumas, TX; brothers: Gerardo Lopez and wife Grace, Joaquin Lopez and wife Annabelle all of Dumas, TX; grandparents: Gregorio and Geneva Gutierrez of Dumas, TX, Alejandra Lopez in Mexico; uncle: Florentino and Luisa Gutierrez of Dumas, TX; aunts: Ester and Arturo Jimenez of Tulsa, OK, Juana and Michael Velasco of Amarillo, TX, Maria Gutierrez of Amarillo, TX, Rosemary and Ricky De La Rosa of Dumas, TX.
