George Flores

George Flores, 50 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Rev Jesus Rivera, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. George was born on August 31, 1964 to Rafael Jr. and Simona (Gonzalez) Flores in Plainview, TX. He lived at The Texas Panhandle Center in Amarillo for many years and was assigned several different jobs to do that he truly enjoyed. George loved people and would visit everybody he knew in Cactus. He would ride his tricycle bike all around town and his faithful dog would follow him anywhere he would go. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling, but most of all dancing. George was loved by many and will be missed dearly. He is preceded in death by his father: Rafael Flores Jr. and one sister: Angie Flores. George is survived by his mother: Simona F. Santellano of Cactus; seven brothers: Davy Flores and wife Emma, Rafael III Flores and wife Geneva and Ernesto Flores and wife Susie all of Dumas, Joe Flores and wife Veronica of Wylie, TX, Danny Flores and wife Maria of Odessa, Steve Flores and wife Angela of Borger and Peter Flores and wife Blanca of El Paso; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who cared deeply about him. The family suggests memorials be to Special Olympics, 112 W 8th, Amarillo, TX 79101.
