George’s highlights:

George spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy with services in Japan and Korea. He loved the USS Valley Forge CV45 and loved being at sea.

George loved Missionaries and supported many for years. He had them stay in his home a lot when they were on furlough. When he would go visit a mission field he never wanted to leave. He loved people and wanted to see them come to Jesus.

He helped start 2 churches, East Side Baptist in Denver, CO and Faith Bible Baptist in Greeley, CO. George was song leader for many years and loved to sing the old-time hymns that he said talked to your heart.

He went to Jerry Falwell Fundamental Conference in D.C. in 1984 and what great preaching and singing he heard for an entire week. The 2000 voice choir was the greatest he had ever heard. President Reagan and the Vice President George W. Bush were both there on Friday night and spoke to the crowd. There were over 20,000 people there each service.

George went to Baptist Bible College from 1953-1956. He farmed from 1960-1984. He fed cattle, he raised sugar beets and corn. After his farming and feeding cattle days, he drove a school bus and Trailways, driving all over the U.S. He loved children and taking athletic trips. During all this time he was always busy in church.
