Gerald Palmer

Gerald Jerry Palmer, 65, of Dumas, died Saturday, September 30, 2006 in Amarillo. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 4, 2006, in Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dan Martin, pastor of Liberty Baptist Church of Dalhart, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Michigan City, IN. Mr. Palmer was born July 10, 1941 in Michigan City, IN. He was a longtime resident of Indiana and worked as a firefighter. In 1992, he moved to Dumas from Amarillo and had worked for Central Motors for five years. He was preceded in death by one son: Gregory Palmer on June 30, 1964. Survivors include: his wife, Rosie of the home; two daughters, Julie Valentine of Ventura, CA and Jennifer Palombizio of Michigan City, IN; two sons: Jack Braswell of Dumas and Bobby Joe Braswell of Guymon, OK; three brothers: James Robert Palmer of Steton, Maine, Thomas Palmer of Sioux St. Marie, Canada and Terry Palmer of Michigan City, IN; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will be at 105 Oak in Dumas and ask memorials to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 411 S Fillmore, Amarillo, TX 79101.
