Geraldine Borchardt, 88, formerly of Dumas, passed away early Saturday morning July 25, 2020. Due to current health restrictions, no services are being scheduled at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Geraldine was born September 21, 1931 in Paradise, TX to Garner and Madge (Knight) Kaker. She married Kenneth Borchardt May 19, 1950 and they lived in Dumas where he worked for the police department and she cared for their family. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed romance novels while the rest of the family was fishing, or you could find her catching up on her favorite soap opera. She worked at TG&Y for a brief time. After retirement and the loss of her husband, Geraldine moved to Amarillo to be with family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth.
Geraldine is survived by her sons: Bobby and wife Susan of Borger, TX, Randy and wife Mary of Amarillo, TX, Gary Dale and wife Sheri of Kingsville, TX. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
