Glenna Faye Emmett

Glenna Faye Emmett, 85 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021. The graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 in the morning on Monday, July 19, 2021, at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Joye Watson, Chaplain of Memorial Hospice, officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 o’clock until 5 o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Glenna was born on September 5, 1935, in Okema, OK to Troy and Irma (Webb) Harrell. She was united in marriage to Delton Emmett on June 18, 1954, in Dumas, TX; he preceded her in death in 2010. Glenna worked at various places but her most important job was that of a homemaker, her family meant the world to her. Glenna had a servant’s heart and volunteered with different organizations including Meals on Wheels of Hobbs, NM. She also taught numerous illiterate adults how to read. Glenna was of Baptist faith and will be missed by her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Glenna was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jorene Carlton. Glenna is survived by her daughter, Claudia Emmett Hamberlin and husband Cliff of The Woodlands and her granddog, Shiraz; nieces: Pamela Vladpalin of Amarillo, TX and Tamara Clemans, husband Joe and their family of Amarillo, TX. The family suggests with gratitude that memorials be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E 2nd, Dumas TX 79029. The family will be at 500 Bradley.
